The top Mural shown is a 10 foot by 62 foot replica of a ‘50’s
drive-in movie theatre. The purpose of this scene was to give the visitor
an illusion of entering an actual drive-in movie. With the cityscape at
twilight and the ‘50’s cars lined up toward the screen, the
visitor was treated to a real 51” plasma high
resolution TV showing ‘50’s movies and a working neon sign beckoning
the drivers to enter. The illusion was completed when the vintage cars were
lined up next to the wall creating a 3D perspective view.
The lower mural is a movie premier scene created from the grand old days
of Hollywood, complete with the red carpet, the crowds, the movie posters
and the Cadillac limousines. The great movie stars from the ‘40s &
‘50s showed up to the grand opening of Niagara starring Marilyn Monroe
and Joseph Cotton.
